Eureka! – reply to Debbie

Hi Debbie!

You can email me at Teri@TheGroceryGame.com. I’ll tell you where to get it. I was advised not to link on this site, because it’s multi level marketing. I don’t sell it. But I get it through a distributor. Easy to order off the internet. I’m still doing good with it. And it’s easy with my traveling. I don’t like the cleanse days, though. They’re once a week, just a watered down fruit juicy liquid. Leaves me pretty hungry. But that cleanse day seems to get me through plateaus.

I Love to Kayak!

I’m still on a roll with my new diet and fitness program. Now, I’m at that wonderful point where I just want to workout everyday. Just took my niece from Chicago to Catalina Island. I don’t normally like Catalina. But it was a beautiful weekend and we had a blast. The best part was kayaking. I rented kayaks for 4 hours. I wasn’t out the whole time. But I went out for about 25 minutes, pumped it up like a racer, and came in a rested on the beach (with a margarita of course). I took 3 runs like that, full speed in the ocean, and it was awesome! I am sore in my quadruceps, deltoids, pectorals, lats, gluts, abs, and obliques! I LOVE it.

I try to kayak every chance I get, and I really LOVE it! I’m going to find a kayaking club or something near me. I live near Castaic lake. I’m thinking I could work out there maybe weekly, and then enjoy trips to the ocean kayaking whenever I can. SO fun!

If you ever get a chance to rent a kayak. Do! Technically, it’s so easy. Here’s a tip. Don’t grip both hands. Grip only the lower hand. Push with an open upper hand. Then close and open and push the other hand when it is up. Use your body weight to push rather than just pull through the water. Also, posture, and push your belly button to your spine (that’s for the lower abs), and I think it makes me faster. Although not sure if that latter part is correct. But it feels right. I learned the open handed push from a park ranger taking lessons years ago.

Eureka!

Eureka! I have to say… THIS IS IT! I found something that does it for me. I was stuck. If you’ve read my other blogs, you know I work out and diet and was stuck between a size 10 and 12. And I am even thinking about becoming a distributor for it. So I’m not going to say what it is just yet. Because I’m not sure if I’m allowed to. Funny thing. This is my site. But I don’t know the rules! Ha!

Here’s the scoop… no joke… just the straight facts. I got a diet program that has to do with cleansing and drinking shakes along with one healthy meal a day. And it’s a big well-rounded meal. Now, I travel. So alot of the time, I had to imrovise on the meals. But it still worked!

I am amazed. By the 6th day, I lost 2 inches in my waist! Seriously! I was packing for a PR trip, and I thought, “Gee, I wonder if my clothes still fit?” Because I knew I was a lot smaller. So fortunately, I tried on my size 10 jeans (which were always tight on me) before I packed them. My tight size 10 jeans were too lose! Baggy even! And I could pull my button overlapped by 2 inches on my waist! In 6 days! So I put on the 8’s (that I couldn’t squeeze into before), and they fit perfectly. OK, now I’m on the 15th day, and my 8’s are getting loose! I don’t weigh myself because I’m scale-aphobic. But I know I have lost pounds! The proof is in the inches!

I am doing cardio every day for 30 minutes. The program recommends 20 minutes daily. But I was already doing 35 minutes 4-6 times a week. So I just scaled it down to 30 minutes daily. And I’m doing weights 4-5 days a week. But then, I have done that in the past with other diets and never had these results at all. My friend who told me about it lost 8 pounds in the first week. So I was inspired, especially since she only did cardio for 2 days in that week.

The thing I love most is that this is a very healthy program. And I have SO much energy, except for one day (the 9th day), when I think I was de-toxifying. I was pretty hungry for a day here and there, during the first week. But now, I am satisfied every day. Eureka! I think I found a lifestyle that I love of skinniness! I am doing a photo shoot on Monday April 23rd. So I’ll have some pictures of the new me. Yee-haw!!!!!

Funny recipe name!

My sister and I just got back from one of our wild PR trips. On one typical day when we didn’t get to eat dinner the night before, and jumped up to work early, and didn’t get breakfast until noon. We were in the mood for breakfast. But the breakfast menu was over. So I talked her into ordering potato skins. I said that the potatoes would be like hashbrowns. And they had bacon and cheese on them. So we were just minus the eggs. While she was eating them, we came up with a great breakfast idea:

Use left over baked potatoes from dinner, and make potato skins, hollowed out with a little crumbled bacon, and covered in grated cheddar. While the cheese is melting in the oven, fry some eggs, over easy, or sunny side up. And put one egg on top of each potato. Yum! And this would be easy for a crowd, because you could prepare the potatoes, grate the cheese, and fry the bacon the day before.

While we were discussing this idea, I posed the challenge to her to come up with a name. Only because my sister is VERY clever. And I KNEW she would come up with something good. She paused for just a few moments, looking at her potato skins, raised an eyebrow, and said, “Well you know that when you order seafood and steak, they call it ‘Surf and Turf’. so this new breakfast recipe is going to be called ‘Chirp and Turf’.”

LOL… Gosh… SHE is SO funny!!!!!
